Semi-Local Truck Driver

We are hiring experienced CDL-A drivers for our dedicated account. Enjoy consistent routes, steady schedules and reliable weekly miles. This position features no-touch freight and strong on-site support from office staff and maintenance teams.

Requirements:

• Valid CDL-A license (must match state of residence prior to orientation)
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Stable work history
• Good driving record and background
• Must have reliable personal transportation
• Must live within 50 miles of Tar Heel
• Ability to pass all DOT pre-employment testing
• Comfortable with night driving

Experience Requirements (Must meet ONE):

• 3 months of tractor-trailer experience within the last 12 months
  OR
• Equivalent recent experience:
  • 1 year in the last 2 years
  • 1.5 years in the last 3 years
  • 2 years in the last 4 years
  • 2.5 years in the last 5 years
  • 3 years in the last 6 years
  • 3.5 years in the last 7 years
  • 4 years in the last 8 years
  • 4.5 years in the last 9 years
  • 5 years in the last 10 years

Please Note:

• All experience must be verifiable tractor-trailer (T/T) with a 40+ ft trailer
• Car hauling experience accepted (must meet equipment requirements)
• Local T/T experience counts
• Experience with 26,001 lb trailers qualifies
• Training time does NOT count

Pay & Earnings:

• Average Weekly: $1,172 - $1,613
• Average Annual: $60,961
• Top Annual: $83,897
• Per-load pay (up to 189 miles) + CPM for longer runs
• Safe & On-Time Bonus incentives

Delivery Area:

• Routes within a 300-mile radius of Tar Heel
• Multiple delivery locations

Schedule:

• Mix of 12-hour local shifts + overnights (2–3 times/week)
• Evening start times: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Schedule options: Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday
• Weekend, holiday & night driving required
• Home Weekly
