Sign-On Bonus: $7,500

  • $500 on hire

  • $1,000 at 30 days

  • $1,500 at 120 days

  • $2,000 at 6 months

  • $2,500 at 1 year

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a technician, you will be responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance and advanced repairs on a variety of mechanical systems in tractors and trailers. This includes ensuring all work complies with DOT, state, federal, and company standards. You will also troubleshoot and repair a wide range of systems, contributing to our top-tier service.

Open Positions:

1. KNL Tech II - St. Paul, MN

  • 2nd Shift (Monday – Friday)

  • Hours: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

  • Pay: $28.53 - $39.93/hour

  • 2nd Shift Differential: +$5.00/hour

2. KNL Tech II - St. Paul, MN

  • 1st Shift (Wednesday – Saturday)

  • Hours: 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM

  • Pay: $28.53 - $39.93/hour

  • Saturday Shift Differential: +50% base pay

3. Koch Harding - Minneapolis, MN

  • 1st Shift (Sunday – Wednesday)

  • Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

  • Pay: $28.53 - $39.93/hour

  • Sunday Shift Differential: +50% base pay

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and advanced repairs on tractors and trailers, including:

    • Powertrain and driveline

    • Suspension, steering, and braking systems (air and hydraulic)

    • Electrical and electronic systems, including ABS and collision mitigation

    • HVAC and cooling systems

    • Aftertreatment and exhaust systems

    • Liftgate systems (electrical, hydraulic, fabrication)

    • Reefer systems

    • Roll-up door components

    • APU systems

  • Use hand tools, jacks, hoists, and specialized equipment for repairs

  • Read and interpret manuals, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings

  • Order parts and support inventory management

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

  • Provide on-the-job training to junior technicians and helpers

  • Make warranty recommendations and document all work

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive pay: Based on experience and skill

  • Shift differentials:

    • Mid Shift: +$2.50/hour (11:00 AM – 7:30 PM) or (12:00 PM – 8:30 PM)

    • Second Shift: +$5.00/hour (3:00 PM – 12:00 AM)

    • Weekend Shift: +50% base pay

    • Mobile Technician: +$5.00/hour

  • Yearly Allowances:

    • Boots: Up to $300/year

    • Tool Allowance: $1,200/year, paid twice

  • Paid Time Off: Accrued starting day one

  • Holidays: Six paid holidays + three floating holidays annually

  • Holiday Pay: Earn holiday pay + 1.5x pay for working holidays

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Tractor maintenance experience

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to complete advanced repairs independently

  • Commitment to safety and quality

  • Ability to troubleshoot a variety of mechanical and electrical systems

Preferred:

  • Associate’s degree in Heavy Duty Truck Technology or related field

  • 2+ years of tractor maintenance experience

Quarterly Bonus:

  • Eligible for performance-based bonuses
